This is short notice, but it’s been a little while since we’ve had a local meetup. In the interest of being able to see everyone again, we’re doing one that’s simple to arrange. Come join us at this flagship Chuck E. Cheese location on Fontaine Road, just off the Tully exit of Highway 101. For years there has been reportings of paranormal activity at this location.2445 Fontaine Rd San Jose, CA 95121Great For Kids Lots Of Fun, BUT………….IS THIS PLACE HAUNTED??
For those of you who are not aware, this building originally opened a few decades ago as King Norman’s Toy Store. Shortly after it went out of business, it was remodeled as a discotheque, but eventually saw commercial success as a branch of the Chuck E. Cheese pizza parlor chain.
Its legend, however, grew from its tenure as the huge toy store it was. It is said a little girl fell from its third-level loft and died. Since then, there have been stories of a female child seen around the third story, spirit images in photos, and employees have cleaned up tables only to find one reset for a party of six.
Since ghosts shy away from large crowds and loud noise, trying to find a time that’s relatively quiet is tricky. I’m hoping Sunday lunchtime will be relatively slow. The management doesn’t take reservations, but I’ll find a table on the third story for us to meet and have a sign. Lunch is Dutch treat. For those who don’t already have plans for the holiday weekend, hope you can join us.
Warning: the traffic around Tully Road offramp of 101 is hideous.
